Bridge Team Management (Paperless)

CMTS’s Bridge Team Management course is developed to Paperless and uses ECDIS instead of the paper chart, aiming to meet the needs of the current and future navigation. Therefore, this course carried out by our training center, has been modified to contribute in the transition from the traditional to paperless navigation.

This course, as well as the normal BTM Course, duration is 5 days and includes emergencies, human elements, such as Crisis Management, Resource Management, Leadership, Teamwork and Managerial Skills modules, and dealing with pilots – masters – officers interaction. 

The Bridge Simulator exercises, which are based on real life scenarios, can certainly be accommodated to the specific requirements of CMTS’s customers after their demand.

Furthermore, the model ships used in the practical assessments include Tankers, Cargo vessels or Containerships.

The BTM course deals with procedures in a safe navigation environment, taking into consideration the particularities and difficulties of each seaman’s level and intending to reinforce the abilities of good management and team-working.

The in subject course runs in accordance with STCW 78 as amended (Manila amendments 2010), it is accredited by Malta, Liberia, the Marshall Islands flag administrations and it is certified by DNV-GL classification society.
